CHARACTER DESCRIPTIONS:
Ethan –
- 20 year old barista (any ethnicity) once aspired to be an architect. He is an oldest son of supportive parents. Got into his dream school.
- Put aside his dreams after his father got laid off. The money once going to his college career, is now keeping his family afloat. A once clear future is now unknown to him.
Megan –
- 20 year old barista/writer (any ethnicity) An actress that loves the arts and performing. She had to give up her dreams because her family didn’t support them. She moved away and settled in a coffee shop.
- She’s focused on writing her novel, and takes inspiration from the customers she sees everyday.
TITLE: 100 Days
LOGLINE:
A British teenager arrives in the US for a semester abroad and encounters a boy in her class unlike the others. In 100 days, they try to make every moment with each other count as the clock winds down.
CHARACTER DESCRIPTIONS:
Evelyn –
- Late teens; Female British high-schooler with a dry unfiltered sense of humor and a strong sense of fashion. She is annoyed with American values. When she’s with the right people or the right person, she evokes nothing but positivity and comfort. (Any Ethnicity)
Connor –
- Late teens; Male American highschooler with a laid back and loner attitude. He spends most of his days in class bored out of his mind, desperate for some sort of spark. If he can get that spark, he feels he can completely reimagine himself and get the motivation to live each day with purpose. (Any Ethnicity)
TITLE: Judgement Day
LOGLINE:
Janey finds a daunting list of chores to finish before her mom gets home, but her real challenge isn’t the cleaning—it’s getting her headstrong and messy little sister, Rosie, to cooperate.
CHARACTER DESCRIPTIONS:
Janey –
- Rosie’s older sister needs to be able to play between the ages of 12-15. Music is her happy place. She’s the peacekeeper. She’ll do anything to avoid the consequences of her sister’s actions falling onto her. However, Rosie is getting older, and she feels like it’s time for her to learn a hard lesson.
Rosie –
- Janey’s younger sister needs to be able to play between the ages of 7-11. She is spunky, dramatic, messy, stubborn, but passionate. She is driven by her creativity. When they get chores, Rosie will find any reason to put it off. None of her actions come from a place of malice; A bit mischievous at times. She knows that if she waits long enough, Janey will probably help her. She looks for loopholes and shortcuts.
- Both sisters should be able to count music and move rhythmically.
Mom –
- A woman in her early 40s. She’s trying her best, but she has got a million things on the agenda. When she gets frustrated, she can snap. The girls have different ways to cope with this. Janey does everything she can to ease her Mom’s stress, while Rosie likes to toe the line. The night before, Mom decided that she had enough of the messy house and left a to-do list of chores. She expects the house clean by the time she gets home…
TITLE: Backdoor
LOGLINE:
After visiting a shady website, a wanted criminal finds himself on a date with the woman of his dreams… unaware that she is a government informant tasked with bringing him down.
CHARACTER DESCRIPTIONS:
Rory –
- Early to mid 20’s, recent college grad living with his roommate. He’s big into video games and the web, but he’s socially clumsy, even though he means well. Rory has a pretty unimpressive love life, and after meeting “Ashley” through an online ad, sees it as his big chance to get his girl.
Ashley –
- Early to mid 20’s (same age range as Rory), highly talented hacker, decorated government informant, and Rory’s “secret admirer”. She’s cold and calculated, but very passionate about her work and has a vulnerable side that begins to emerge as she uncovers the truth about Rory.
Davis –
- Mid to late 20’s (a tad older than Rory/Ashley), Rory’s roommate and friend going back to elementary. He’s a big brother figure. He is suspicious of Ashley’s legitimacy, and makes a failed attempt to talk Rory out of the date.
Kenny –
- 40+ years old, Ashley’s boss and leader of the operation aimed at capturing Rory. He’s a bigger, gruff guy who comes off as ruthless, but he recognizes Ashley’s expertise and holds her in high regard. When it’s time for the date, he gives her full control of the mission. She’s like the daughter he never had.
TITLE: The Council
LOGLINE:
When a socially inept college guy matches with his dream girl on a dating app, he enlists his equally clueless roommates as a “council” of wingmen to try and help him secure a date entirely through texting. However, while the girl is real her kindhearted intentions are not.
CHARACTER DESCRIPTIONS:
Joey –
- Early 20s college student that is trying to secure his first ever date. His anxious, lovesick nature makes him impulsive and constantly second guessing his decisions. Despite his nerves, there is a genuine sweetness to him, and he’s just looking for a real connection.
Alan –
- Early 20s college student that is the self-appointed voice of reason for the group. Though he says that he has dating experience, it all comes from middle school. He is sarcastic, theatrical, and quick with a joke, but truly wants Joey to succeed.
Tyler –
- Early 20s college student that is the enthusiastic wildcard of the group. He somehow speaks the language of love better than he can live it even with his only romance experience coming from watching name. He brings chaotic energy that usually contrasts with Alan.
Ava –
- Early 20s college student that is charming, witty, and completely in control of every interaction. She is only seen through pictures on the dating up, until the very end where her true feelings are revealed.
Ava’s Girlfriend –
- Early 20s college student that steals the show with her presence. Her kiss with Ava punctuates the twist ending of the film.
TITLE: Muse
LOGLINE:
A young man loses his passion for art until a woman becomes his new muse.
CHARACTER DESCRIPTIONS:
Vincent –
- Early to mid 20s. Looking for new inspiration in his life after a death in his family. He wants to become an award-winning artist and believes that he can make art that could change the world.
Nate –
- Early to mid 20s. Good friends with Vincent. Wants to help him get back in the groove.
Ben –
- Early to mid 20s. Friends with Vincent. Ben just wants the friend group to go back to the way it was before, and he will do anything to make the current problem go away.
Maeve –
- Early to mid 20s. Maeve is incredibly energetic and kind, always looking to make people smile. However, the more you get to know her, the more you realize that she puts on a bit of a performance.
TITLE: My Brother Marcus
LOGLINE:
After her brother’s sudden death, a grieving teenage girl struggles to find meaning in what he left behind.
CHARACTER DESCRIPTIONS:
Marcus –
- Needs to look like an 18 year old, loving and caring brother, charasmatic, fun, helpful, kind, and pretty witty.
Lila –
- Lila is 14 years old. She’s sharp witted but also a little sensitive. Sometimes masks her emotions with sarcasm. Depressed after her brother’s death. Makes sense of things at the end.
Maya –
- Maya is a 43 year old a caring and loving mother. Also saddened by the death of her son. Staying strong for her daughter. Wants to comfort her daughter in any way she can.
TITLE : Still Spinning
LOGLINE:
A radio host sister and potter brother. Their lives spin in different directions, but they always support one another.
CHARACTER DESCRIPTIONS:
Nico –
- Male, any race. A grounded, magnetic potter with a 90’s hippie style. Clean, intentional, and attractive. Warm presence, expressive hands, and an easy confidence that puts others at ease. Flamboyant in a subtle artistic way. Deeply cares for his younger sister, even if he doesn’t always verbalize it. Must convey calm, emotional depth, and charm.
Nikki –
- Female, same race as Nico. A vibrant, slightly chaotic, and aspiring radio host with big dreams and big energy. Quirky, artistic, and emotionally open. Disorganized but passionate, with a natural charisma that shines through her uncertainty. Fast-talking, expressive, and a little messy in both her style and personality. Searching for her own voice and what makes her stand out. Strong comedic timing with the ability to do some emotional scenes.
